Arai, Schuberth, and Shoei both used advanced techniques and multiple shell sizes for their helmets. This allows them to create shells that are smaller externally, but still the same size internally and just as protective. -CK

The XR-1100 is the Euro version of the RF-1100 and would be great for a sport bike rider! Personally, I prefer the Shoei GT-Air and think it would be a better choice if you do longer rides. -CK

The Arai Rebel is quite stable at highway speeds. I noticed a significant change from my Signet-Q when test riding with one. I'd recommend this or the Speed R as the best solutions for naked bikes. -CK

The GT Air takes a lot from the Shoei Neotec, which really focused on sound and aerodynamics. I'd recommend the GT-Air as the quieter option by a good margin. -CK

They will be back in stock, but I don't have an exact ETA. You can sign up to be notified on the product detail page. Just select your size and enter your e-mail in the box that appears over the product image. -CK

i am riding a street triple r and a tuono factory(both naked as you can reallise) and using an arai chaser, i realised by switching with a viper gt that my chaser is louder.I am going to buy a new helmet and was looking on the rf1100 and the gt air. For a naked bike which one you believe is more quiet. Thanks a lot!

Hi Revzilla. I ride a ducati streetfighter 1098s and looking for a 2nd helmet for daily street riding, interstate touring on some weekends and hitting the twisties on some as well. Already have an Arai RX7 RR5 for track purpose.

Being a naked without any windshield i find my RX7 really uncomfortable for long touring rides, in a 3/4 or upright position that is.

I'm really thinking of the GT Air after watching a couple of reviews and your excellent one here, as a good all round daily street, touring and sport lid, but would it work better than say the new Arai Rebel or Schubert S2 or even a Shark Speed R (a drop down internal sun visor will be a plus for me as daily helmet) for a naked  unshielded bike? Also how easy is it to remove the cheek pads/internal liners to swap every week (really humid in this part of the world) on the GT Air compared to say my RX7 which is a real pain in the a** to get off and back on.

Thanks.

I recently crashed chuckwalla valley raceway not too long ago with a Shark Speed-R helmet. Loved the helmet but I want to try something new. I was looking into this helmet maybe even the X12. What would u recommend from a track point of view for this helmet compared to the x12?? I'm leaning more toward the GT right

Hey guys I want to buy a GT-Air medium size black/red, it looks like that all medium size are out of stock, is there any chance to become available soon?

What would you say is the smallest full face helmet that also has a built in sun visor? I have a EXO-1100 and its too bulky. I want that feature in a tight helmet like shoei. Thanks

Can I wear my prescription glasses with the visor dropped down? That is my only concern about this item.
