Joel sure knows a hell of a lot of people. He pressed the button like 30 times before killing Jack meaning he would have killed like 2 billion people.

Most people either wouldn't press the button or think about it for a much longer time, even if the button killed someone they didn't know, but he keeps pressing it even when the money keeps halving and the people keep doubling. The real questions are how many people does he know and how can he receive less than a cent after pressing it the 28th time? He's also have killed 268, 435, 455 people by that time for slightly less than 2 million dollars.

Of course you can round up if you want, you can also decide not to bother counting when numbers are below a certain amount. You can declare small amounts as useless if you like too. But it still stands that when the button is pressed a value (no matter how small) is added to his bank account. Mathematically, his assets increase. That is all I'm saying.

Are you sure? Because last time i check one man can't possibly know everyone on the planet. The point of the button was to push it and someone you "know" will die. Not some random person living on earth.
