I believe it's like the toilet paper. It's very similar but different.. everyone is buying their stuff before prices go crazy high. Everything is being bought up and seems like the economy is going great but I'd say 6 months down the line is when it gets real... people's credit cards are maxed out and there's no more money left to buy anything. I've got a bad feeling about 2023.

Stop even talking about Lockdowns, I don’t even want to hear the word. This is America. We are about freedom. The 1st Amendment of the Constitution spells it out quite well. People are spending because they are short-sighted, greedy and ignorant on how to live within their means. We as Americans need another lesson in financial savvy, and this Recession is going to be the teacher.

I'm spending my IRA . Why not? I lost money this past 18 months on these conservative investments. Money I could have spent on my house to fix it up. It is better than losing it or the government getting their slimy hands on it.

He's right but interest rates, household debt, and inflation keep going up and some short term spending isn't going to stop a recession. FOMO is the root cause of this bear market bounce because it doesn't make economic sense.

I've been spending more money recently simply to make sure that I can buy the necessities if the crap ever hits the fan. I've been spending money on fertilizer just in case our stupid government decides to ban them to "protect the climate". I've been buying gardening tools to start growing my own food because I no longer trust my government. There's going to be a supply chain shortage and I wanna make sure that I'm not too badly effected.

I've been updating appliances and also doing house repairs right now before I am unable to do so. I don't think that most Americans are behaving this way because they're preparing for the zombie apocalypse like me. A lot of people are completely unaware of what is going on, which is sad.
