Kumquat preserve of my dreams✨ share this with someone who loves jam on their toast 🍊
The most delicious, basic, 3 ingredient preserve/jam/marmalade (let me know the difference in the comments 😅⬇️) we have ever made! The intense sour from the kumquats pairs perfectly with the sweet gooey jam and a hint of cinnamon.
Ingredients:
1 pint kumquats (about .75lb or 2 cups sliced)
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick (opt)
Directions:
Wash and slice kumquats horizontally, taking out seeds. Place seeds in a cheese cloth or tea bag. Place fruits in a pot with water & cinnamon stick. Bring to a low boil for 10 min. then add sugar and seeds, keep at low simmer continuously stirring until it’s at desired thickness. Remove seeds, let cool. Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 3 months.
