Rough Running 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II

Показать описание
At the time of the current owner taking delivery, this Silver Cloud was not running well at all and appeared to have a misfire. We found that the point gap was way too small, at about 0.005". After setting the point gaps to 0.020" per the specification, the running improved, but was still not good, particularly once warm sitting at a stop. The rough running caused the car to shake. In this video we pull the distributor and clean the centrifugal advance mechanism, replace points and condenser, set the timing and synchronize the points. The result was significantly improved running. The next step will be to investigate the cause of the rich mixture, and will be the topic of a future video.

Thank you for creating this video, I have been struggling to set my dizzy up! Out of interest where in the ignition circuit did you add the continuity light?
