ICC hits back at Israel's threats

The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) says all attempts to impede, intimidate or improperly influence its officials, need to stop immediately. Prosecutor Karim Khan's office put out a statement on social media after much speculation about possible indictments being issued against senior leadership in the Israeli Government over military conduct in Gaza. That speculation, largely from media sourcing and reporting, has seen a flurry of activity including threats of retaliation from countries like the United States. News website Axios reported this week that the ICC was being warned by members of Congress in both the Republican and Democratic Parties that arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials would be met with U.S. retaliation.

Intimidation threat and blackmail of ICC by the US

International rules don't apply to the U.S.? Is it not on the same planet? If human civilization is to make progress, no one can say, "we're not subject to rules that everybody else follows". Or else it becomes an obstacle to progress.

There should be no intimidation or pressure from outside groups (including the US, UK, EU, Israel, and others) on the ICC decision. If they do, they are in breach of Article 70, Section d/f, and warrants will be issued for their arrest, regardless of whose country or official is perpetrating the violation.

Guilty as charged. ICC is correct in their judgement and we hope these criminals are charged and brought to justice otherwise America and Israel will treat any country who does not be subservient to them in the same way as they are treating Palestine.
