I would love to see a longer-format video on the design of the PolyPaf in line with the previous ones on the Ragnarok, Silo etc. Nolly and Tim talking gear and tone is always deligthful.

Nolly explains not just how pickups sound but how they *feel* so well, and often I find that's a much more definable part of a pickup's character than what you hear in a demo. For example, Micky's recent demos of the Stormy Mondays and the Mules show the EQ differences, but unless you've played both, you won't get the sense of the difference in the attack, how crunchy the A4 makes the Mule feel. Please can we get Nolly talking through each pickup in the range? I'm only half-joking!

Would love a polypaf vs dimarzio Joe duplantier bc the way he described the polypaf sound exactly what Joe's fortitude is and why I love that pickup so much, the dynamics and clarity. Definitely wanna try these

Looking forward to my set showing up! I went with polymath bridge though.

I’m pretty excited by this, I was interested in the polymath, but wanted something a bit less output. I’m really enjoying the import PRS 58/15s and I think this would be a great upgrade.

Gonna throw this in my mccarty SE 594, but wait, I love my 594 sounds already.
Gonna buy another 594 and slap this anyway 👍

Wondering how these compare to a Dimarzio Fortitude. which is currently my favorite PAF style bridge pickup.

you guys definitely need to make a proper AB comparison between these and the polymaths

Any plans for demoing the 7- or 8-string version of the PolyPaf?

Just a month ago, I was browsing for extended range PAFs, so I feel like this is a sign in some way.

The way that you describe them is the way I would describe the PRS DGT pickups. No high DC resistance (bridge ca 9k) but crunch wise you wouldn’t know it and they can do everything well, including metal. Wouldn‘t mind trying the PolyPafs in my LP.

Greetings Bare Knuckle, what pickup pot values does Nolly use on the Polypaf? 250k's or 580k's?

Every 5 years since the 1960s in the guitar world they rediscover the PAF pickup. It's kind of cute. Yeah, it sounds awesome. Then they rediscover the P90 and then the cycle loops.

Recently they are rediscovering the filtertrons too.

I wonder how long ago the last novel electric guitar pickup design was made? EMG actives? I don't know if any have been invented in my lifetime and I'm not young.

Were these developed specifically with the nickel covers?
How much of an impact would there be with no covers? Would it be a step away from, or closer to the Mules?

Really curious how this compares to Dimarzio PAF Pro's. It's a really similar idea, tight lows, airy highs, almost identical DC resistance. Wondering how much that high carbon slug really matters!
