Dune Paul Atreides Tribute Video Edit 4K

A video montage of the best bits of Denis Villenueve's Dune-duology, structured in a similar three-act structure as its source material—the book 'Dune' by Frank Herbert. The first part follows the Atreides' trials on Arrakis, the second shows Paul's integration into Fremen society, and the third his transformation into the mythical Kwisatz Haderach.

Love the contrast and juxtaposition with Gaius Helen Mohaim’s line of “like an animal” and images of the Harkonnen’s

The first two hours were incredible. The last bit was surreal. It was like I was watching the greatest piece of art a human has ever created.

It's been a week since I saw Part II and I still can't stop thinking about it. It's been so long since a movie did this

Paul speech had me shaking in my seat. I almost stood up and scream “Addaam Reshii A-zaanta! (Long live the fighters!)” and “Lisan Al Gaib!” 🙇🏻‍♀️

All the seats in the cinema are vibrating, also the entire cinema is shaking when they played the “Gom Jobbar” theme.

Soo well done man! In my opinion, Dune Part Two is the best film of the passed decade!

A beautiful movie... The moment when Paul decides to become Messiah is epic. This was a masterpiece

I love the feeling of when you know something is going to be great, yet it still manages to surpass those expectations. This is a feeling I experienced for both of the Dune films, and now, this edit... You continue to absolutely outdo yourself with each and every video you put out. Absolutely masterful my friend, the litany of fear sequence already had me in awe, and that final act is pure greatness. Keep up the great work SWFT!

I love how you contrasted the arrival of Atreides on Arrakis with Paul putting his hand in the box. The box is a metaphor for Arrakis and there was only pain in it for the Atreides. The Reverend Mother said that an animal caught in a trap will gnaw off its own leg to escape. Paul Atreides was the animal caught in a trap and he gnawed off his own leg (lost his soul to a terrible purpose) to escape that trap.

Sometimes I feel sorry for the Fremen. It seems like they've been tricked into thinking that Paul is the Nissan Al Gore.

Overall, I think these movies were pretty faithful to the source material. Although the one thing that is missing a lot is Paul and Chani's relationship. I understand that they have to cut stuff out and change things from time to time, but I almost feel like they changed too much with Chani as a character.

_MID-ISH SPOILERS FOR DUNE PART 2 AHEAD_

In the book, she is Chani Kynes, daughter of Liet Kynes. She and Paul initially bond over the fact that the Emperor and House Harkonnen are responsible for the deaths of their fathers. Chani is Paul's biggest supporter, his confidant, and so much more.

He might marry Princess Irulan to maintain control of the empire, but his heart always has been and always will be Chani's. His marriage to Irulan is a purely political thing. It's Chani that Paul has children with. It's their children that are his heirs. Chani is to Paul what Jessica was to Leto: pretty much his wife in all but name. The movie made it feel like Chani was on the outside looking in. Like him marrying Irulan was some sort of personal betrayal when it was anything but that. Paul doesn't love Irulan. He never has, he never will. Chani is still his partner, his confidant, and the love of his life.

Man... and thats mostly shots from the trailer for Part 2. Imagine what you can do when more of the film comes available. Amazing work.
Also, at 7:31 does Paul use the voice in a very subtle way? His voice seems different from normal. I`ve saw the film twice already, but the German version doesnt sound so subtle strong at all.

My only exposure to Dune is the films, but I definitely feel like Paul will end up becoming a cautionary tale of how a dictator rises rather than a hero....he's heading down a dark road
