SSD used in test

Upgraded to SSD on my second PS4 because I couldn't record in 4k without the game freaking out.. problem solved 👌 Comparison test, load times and HDD 1080p vs HDD 4k vs SSD 4k Red Dead Redemption on PS4 Pro.

Worth it?? If you spend at least 2-3 hours a day on your PS4 then, yes 100% it will change your life.. or 2-3 hours of it anyway but if you are just a casual, once a week player... then given the price of SSD storage, maybe not you probably won't really notice... because you don't use the thing anyway haha

SSD Install Turorial at 4:45min

Great deal on the game

RACE 2 LOAD TIMES

Not sure why there are so many dislikers? Upgrading to an SSD is a must for people who want the best experience. Mine is literally twice as fast to load anything I do, so great video by the way!

It’s absolutely worth the upgrade. I had one in my ps4 and now just upgraded the ps4 pro, bc I’ve had not luck getting the Ps5. It’s made the pro so much snappier in the os menu and load times are much better. Nice video, 1000 likes.

You get faster more responsive UI features too, and there will be far less visible texture and LOD pop-in.

Its gonna be a game changer for Cyberpunk 2077. On PC its recommended to install that game on a SSD, should be the same for PS4

I’m so used to my Samsung evo 1TB for games and my 160GB evo for OS in my computer where everything loads before I can take a drink of the drink. My computer boots up faster than turning the TV or monitor on. Now I just got my PS4 pro to play FF7 remake and as I load other games, they take forever, the textures take forever to load in, frame rate choppy at first, it’s a bit of a nightmare...everything should be solid state. Heck the newer models should have included...I would have paid a slight premium if Sony included one

The upgrade also helps with rendering in game graphics. This is a must have!

should have done more load tests to do a full comparison

Does the game feel smoother in any way at all? Im planning on getting an ssd for my Pro just to speed up load times but im curious as to how the games feel.

Does the system run cooler with an SSD instead of a HDD?This is what matters for me most than even speed.

If anyone is thinking that SSD improves framerate/performance
The answer is NO
It only improve load times(noticeably fast) and increases draw distance in very very few games (because ssd pushes more info for CPU to load but since ps4's default hdd can give info at speed almost equal to its CPU capabilities so even after using ssd things won't improve because ps4's cpu is not fast enough to handle all info given to it by ssd)

Is a western digital blue SSD 1tb a good choice to get put in my pro at $105?

A price of SSD is more expensive than console

Does the ssd upgrade make the PS4 Pro any quieter?

Little noob, pardon me. Here's my situation.

I will buy a PS4 Pro this coming Monday and I'm wondering if I should buy an SSD now? I'm a little hesitant to buy an SSD at this moment because a Samsung SSD (Evo 860, 1TB) costs around 150-200USD here in my country.

I'm wondering if I could play The Last of Us II and Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy smoothly with the PS4 Pro's stock 1 TB HDD? Thank you!
