Was glad to see other folks noticed the glaring omission of the USS Constitution - the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat. Since the list is "Most Beautiful" I'm not sure I can argue for her to be #1, but she certainly pleases the eye more than several of the ships that made the list.

HMS Victory only lands at #10? And Mayflower (redux no less) sits at #1? I smell something more American than Anglo in pandering for likes.

It's strange how ships built in the mid/late 19th century became out of date within a few years and some were virtually obsolete before they finished building them because warships were evolving so quickly! Yet today we're flying planes designed 50 years ago (eg F-16, F-18), and the B-52 is likely to still be flying nearly a century after it was conceived!!

They told everyone in England that they were going to die and burn in hell, the people of England told the pilgrims you wanna live the strict, religious life, go off and do it in the New World, leave us alone. So that’s what they did.

In Olympia, Wahington there lives a Tall ship named The Lady Washington. She sailed around the world and was used in Pirates of the Caribbean as the Interceptor.
She's amazing and allows visitors onboard.

Why was the USS Constitution excluded from your list? She is definitely better looking than some of the ships you included! She is also more historically significant than some of the ships that made your list.
