📣 PRESS RELEASE

The Elephants Yard musical collective and the singer called High Paw present their first long work with the viguese label The Dub Yard Records. Now in all digital platforms and will be also avaliable in Vinyl 12’’ from May 2021.

“Novas Herbas” comes to show the sound the band have been developing and specifying through lots of musical experiences that they shared togheter. With references as Sound Dimension, Aswad or Groundation, Elephants e Paw dive into each song till they find and arrange the optimal vibe for walk the lyricist’s messages. Pointing the eurocentric system; the health within enjoying all learning process; the feeling of being ‘time-space else’ because of the odd atmosphere of ours; these are some of the ideas included in the lyrics. In the album they also give weight to the drum and bass combination and dub versions.

It was recorded at two different viguese studios: the basis was recorded as a live session at Planta Sónica and the voice and brass sections were recorded at the Dub Yard. They present this 8 track LP with four original reggae roots songs (sang in galician) and their dub versions by Javier Vicalo, the project’s bassist and the engine at The Dub Yard Records.
