I’m 38 no husband no kids I plan to take care of myself. If it gets to a point that I can not I will go to a nursing home. I’ve also worked in a nursing home and people was there regardless if they were married or not had children or not. Just because life slow down for you doesn’t mean it’s going to slow down for the people around you. No one is guaranteed to see old age so appreciated everyday that you live 😊

I am a home health nurse. In the past, I have asked elderly women if they regretted not having kids. One said no bc she learned to be independent. She said her neighbors are sad bc their kids are too busy with their lives and never visit. I see this alot. Just bc you have kids, it does not mean they will be there for you.

My daughters are everything, we are like so many middle income Americans, the struggle is real, but aside from the daily grind, my wife and I and our daughters went swimming at a local river swimming hole, the few hours we were there felt like a vacation, with the people that keep me going at my side. I'm very happy with my decision to not have kids, but I don't judge on people that do choose to bring a life into this messed up world.
