Is the Canon 1Dx Mkiii actually a decent camera???

The Canon 1Dx Mkiii is finally here and the 5.5k 60fps raw video it produces absolutely crashed my computer! The 1dx mk3 has so much power for a camera that isn't even designed primarily for shooting video! I would expect this from a cinema camera and the Canon 1Dx Mk3 footage is absolute on par with cameras like the Canon C200.

Canon you have outdone yourself with the 1Dx Mkiii.

But the question is... would you pay $10,000 for this camera? It has a butt tonne of features, there is no doubt there, but is it really worth $10,000 or are you better spending your money on something else?

I've uploaded in 5K so you can see as good quality as possible through youtube, so remember to check that 5k quality.

I love the fact that this was shot in Perth Western Australia and I am located in Perth and also own 1DX mark iii. one thing I love about this camera is the dual autofocus, it so faster and accurate than any autofocus system in other cameras out there.

Considering the only negative I saw was the blown out highlights on the sun. It's one amazing overkill (for now) piece of technology. I shoot on an A7III and the only things I'd like from the 1DX III is the bitrate and the 10 bit colour.

What a beautiful camera! It makes me miss my 1DX MII. Also that RAW is unreal at 12bit. You can do some tasty color grading.
