The “cyst-uation” with ovarian cysts??

preview_player
Показать описание
Ovarian cysts can present a painful cyst-uation... er... situation for some women. Most of the time they are a normal, painless part of the monthly ovulation process. But sometimes they can cause pain or be a symptom of another issue.

In this video, I answer questions like:
- What are ovarian cysts?
- Where do they come from?
- What are the signs that something is out of the ordinary?
- What are the treatment options if they are causing problems?

I was diagnosed with a ruptured cyst when I was 12 years old and was told I have ‘cystic ovaries’… I am now 27 and getting endometriosis surgery in 2 weeks. I can’t wait to be free or have reduced pain & hopefully be able to get pregnant one day.

Just got out of the ER from an ovarian cyst. They saw it on the CT.

Heyyy it’s Annie from New Brunswick Canada. On July 21, 2021, I had a gallbladder attack and when they did a CT scan, it revealed that there was something down there. I was then sent to get an MRI and it showed that there was an 8cm cyst on each ovary in Nov 2021. I was supposed to have had an LBSO (Laparoscopic Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy) in Feb 2022 but it hasn’t happened yet. My Gyno told me that they really don’t want cysts to be any larger than 5cm in diameter. They will be removing the two ovaries along with the two Fallopian tubes. I will try to keep you up to date as I go along. Have a great weekend and upcoming week.

I've got, er had, PCOS. I had a monster cantaloupe sized cyst that I had no idea was there. I had a TAH BSO and my doc said it was necrotic and torted several times. I never knew or felt it was there. Thankfully everything went cuz pathology found early cancer in a polyp!

I had an ovarian cyst diagnosed in January and had it removed in April. It got crushed too badly in the removal and they said rhey couldn't tell if it was PCOS or not.

How long will they monitor small cysts (hemmoragic/endometrioma) before saying “yeah this is a problem we need to take it out”?? My doctor suspects an endometrioma and I am having a 6 week follow up next week. Mine was 2.5cm and if it stays the same or grows only slightly I’m just wondering if he would watch and wait again or if monitoring further would be okay with these kinds of cysts. Curious what the “wait time” for surgery is with smaller cysts like these

I’ve had an ovarian cyst for over two years now. I recently had a baby a weeks ago and my sister was about 12 cm. I’m currently suffering from pain which I suspect could be an ovarian cyst rupture. I’ve had the pain on and off for two weeks so I am not sure if it’s that but it’s very painful. Does a ovarian cyst rupture and cause on and off pain for weeks?

Can anyone say .. Can women have babies (1, 2 or 3) even being diagnosed with multiple ovarian cysts. No one is talking about this here.

Well, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I just go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Cyst Guide and now I feel as light and relaxed as I've ever been.
