Confused with LCM & HCF word problems? 🤔 Here's a hack! ✅️

The method that always work consists of three points :

1. When we have to find a number larger than given numbers, then we find *LCM*

2. If we have to find smaller number, then we find *HCF*

3. Sometimes when we are not able to decide whether the answer is greater or smaller than the given number…. in those questions there are words such as simultaneously, at the same time, together, etc…. they tell you to solve the question by *LCM*.

- *HCF (GCD):* If the problem involves dividing a quantity into equal parts, sharing items among a group, or finding the largest common factor, then you likely need to find the HCF.

- *LCM:* If the problem involves finding a common time for events to occur together, determining when two or more periodic events will coincide, or figuring out when different cycles align, then you may need to find the LCM.

When the question have word " divides" do HCF and if it has word " divided by" do LCM.
