Squire Esquire Deluxe Unboxing & Review

Показать описание
Hey there Guitaroholics! It is time for another unboxing. I know what you’re thinking, “How many guitars do you need???” One more. The answer is always one more.
If you watched my last video, the rig rundown with Tyler, you may have heard me say I love cheap guitars. Followed shortly thereafter by I love expensive guitars. Hi, my name is Wes and I’m a Guitaroholic.
This subject of today’s video falls in the more affordable category. It isn’t a $100 Amazon special, but it’s a far cry from the price of a new Les Paul.
Squire has been doing the Paranormal series, and things of the same ilk, for a while now. I love that they are coming out with some outside the box guitars, where the bigger names stick with the models they released in the 50’s and 60’s. Speaking of “outside the box” let’s get this bad boy outside his box!
This is the Squire Esquire Deluxe in the mocha finish. It also comes in black, but I love seeing the wood grain. The Esquire was one of the first guitars Leo Fender made. I believe it was originally called the Broadcaster, but Guild or someone already had something with that name. The single pickup and bolt on neck made it more affordable than the competition and helped guitarist be heard over the brass in big bands. But you’ll probably recognize the body shape from the better known Telecaster.
This is in the Paranormal realm because Squire took the idea of the Esquire and blended it with its 70’s era descendent the Telecaster Deluxe. The big pick guard is a dead giveaway.
This features a Fender designed full range humbucker, rather than the single coil of the original. The rotary switche splits to single coil tones, full humbucker, and a bypass volume and tone.
