As a realtor- Something I would suggest is asking that the list agent deletes all interior photos prior to closing on MLS so there is no public record of the interior. That is something becoming more common with people with a large public presence for safety.

Yes! Have always painted myself! It's INCREDIBLY easy! And honestly, kind of calming. But also I love projects! We just bought out first home this past fall, and I've taught myself so many electrical and plumbing things too because I want to be able to do things on my own and not call someone every time I want to change or fix something! I love home decor, so it's so exciting getting to do things that are more permanent and the sense of accomplishment when you do it yourself!

just some advice from personal experience, have the realtor take down the interior photos of the listing now that you own it so people don't go searching homes !

Omg! First of all, CONGRATS!! Secondly, my boyfriend and I just bought our first house last year and we painted the entire interior. It was a LOT of work but if you're only painting a few rooms then totally go for it! It's so rewarding to know you did it yourself, and it's a fun experience to do as a couple. My biggest tip is to get a good cutting brush and get good quality rollers!! All of our painting turned out really good and we were not experienced in the slightest beforehand hahaha. And if it looks bad or you don't end up liking it, you can always get it professionally redone. Test it out in a smaller room first and then decide if you want to do more!!!

I painted the inside of our house, and it looks great!! We even have 14 ft ceilings and it still looks great. Just go slow and take your time, spend a little extra in quality brushes, and have fun!!! Congrats 🤩🤩🤩

We bought our house about 5 months ago & have painted half the house so far! You learn as you go & it’s fun to do together! Definitely give yourself grace when getting it all done. It takes some time 🤣

Yes! My tip is to use the teeth and do the edge work first! Because it’s hard to get the edges once you’ve done the wall without having lines. And get all the samples that you want!! When I painted my living room I got three color samples that I really liked and then when I went to get the final color I had them add a little bit more white so it wasn’t so bold because I used a bubble gum pink color

When we bought our house we had a painting party with a bunch of friends that helped us. We ended up finishing the whole house with three levels in 3 days. Super worth it to save money without the service.

Painting is the one thing anyone can do!! They’re so helpful at the stores like Lowe’s/Home Depot they’ll tell you everything you need!!
