So despite how good they are, you won’t find Lara’s multiplayer adventures here. Our countdown includes "Tomb Raider: Legend" (2006), "Tomb Raider II" (1997), "Tomb Raider Chronicles" (2000), "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" (2018), and more! i don't get why tomb raider 4 never gets the recognition it deserves. no, it didn't add much gameplay-wise but the story is completely diferent, and in a good way because Lara gets so much more backstory, and the antagonist is such an interesting character too

Tomb Raider Legend is my favorite.
No particular reason other than I played it a lot when I was a kid.

I'd put Legend above 2013 personally, but, yeah, pretty decent list.

While AoD is understandably in last place, I personally believe that IF the game was finished not the glitchy unfinished mess we got, it could've been an amazing game. I thought the story was really good and the new added mechanics were a nice change.
For me, my absolute favorites are still TR1, TR2, and TR3 for the PS1.

My favourite is Tomb Raider Anniversary, its bring back so many memories and the music was absolutely amazing. The game design for me was perfect.

Nothing beats the original Tomb Raider Games. Sure, the controlls are a little bit outdatet. But the atmosphere of isolation (especially in the first game) und the wohle "getting lost and finally find your way"-thing is what Tomb Raider is about.

Absolutely nothing beats the original 1996 classic! The fact that it wasn't included in this list at #1 or at all, much less given an honorable mention, is a crying shame!

2013 is one of my favourite games of all time. I’m more of an RPG/strategy player than action adventure, but the story and setting is just so good

Tomb Raider 2013 is my absolute favorite, the action and destruction scenes, story and fear of becoming a vicitim of the Island is trully amazing...Rise of Tomb Raider is good too but I miss more destructive sequences and less harvesting

I don't know if Anniversary was supposed to count as taking its place, but there is no Tomb Raider 1 on this list.
And before anyone says anything...yes, Anniversary is a remake, but it's so different that both games are distinct. It's not like it's just a graphical remaster.

Where is the original? Anniversary doesn’t count as the “original” as it’s a remake. Completely different games in terms of gameplay, visuals, effects, VA, etc. HOW do you forget the OG game? Dude 😓

ROTTR was SUCH a good Not only did they up the graphics MIRACULOUSLY- such as her acquaintances voice acting and graphics, her hair omg her HAIR?!?! Don’t get me wrong the 2013 reboot DE’s hair was FANTASIC- but they just did so amazing with it. Anyway, the exploration as he was saying, so much fun. The start to a new era of puzzle solving and tomb searching. So amazing. And SOTTR was worse than the second one. It’s was good, don’t get me wrong, but everything about the second one was just better than what the third one brought.
