Excellent idea.
The main drawback with a flipper is you have to clear every thing off the machine EVERY time you want to flip it.
This doesn't need such tidyness as any little tool or bits will remain where you left it.

I will doodle out a Free-Body Diagram (FBD) later for the forces, as I am now curious...

However, adding diagonal bracing, and/or, wire rope & turnbuckles, to the diagonals of each level (two shelves & base), as well the vertical uprights of the base, may assist in preventing torsion & keeping the Three (3) sections of the base's construction Square & Firm

This is exactly what I was looking for.
It's solved a huge amount of confusion because I always thought that there must be a way to flip a table with another without turning the machine upside down.
I hadn't contemplated using only 2 opposing arms to keep the 2 surfaces level.

Yes, I've noticed that there is no riving knife too on his table saw but I suppose one can be forgiven when it's used professionally.

Very NICE! I built a “traditional” flip cart and have to remove my oscillating drum sander inserts before the flip or they fall out. This design awesome and it looks really sturdy!

This is a really clever mechanism. The hinged support legs especially. I also like how you took a bit of time to add some tapers for aesthetics. Just enough for the prototype. I’m looking forward to seeing the plans come out!

I like it, Only thing I see is collisions when something is on it. I'm curious what sort of clearance radius you might have for equipment etc. Would be excellent for lower profile things like parts glued up etc.
