Oh my god, the I studied abroad in Fuzhou and the banmian are some of the best noodles I've had in my life! There was this one hole in the wall store that had the best peanut sauce, none of the others could compare!
I've had some really authentic Chinese food outside of China, but I never had those banmian again. If I ever end up in NYC I need to go there!

MeiLeiHua is good but their buns are getting smaller and smaller and more expensive year after year which I understand… I still remember when it was double/triple the size but for $1 Or $0.80 … gone are those days …
Next time in New York I’m going to try Double Crispy Bakery located on 230 Grand Street. It’s Mom and Pop owned. Heard they are pretty good and more affordable .
