I'm a Cherokee Descendant that was born n raised in Griffin ga. Everybody loves and talk about Doc legacy and accomplishments.
We have 2 Saloons named after him and the house he stayed in has been a Historic site since 2009.

Great story. Thank you. I was more aware of the B. Cassidy stories...and sometime Doc name pops up....but this is the first time I get a full story if Doc. Wow, what a man. Nobody dropped him dead with a bullet in wild texas while in the thick of things. Died in bed...looking at his feet. I totally agreed with Doc that he freaks out that his death was looking at his feet rather then with his boots on. He knew his fate will be with his boots on. Much respect, men of history.

The story of the Earps and doc Holiday are many and varied at best. Written documentaries only cloud the facts. I worked in Tombstone for about a year. The citizenry are divided in the their support and opposition of both the Earps and the "Cowboys." From my front porch in Whetstone Arizona I can see the general area where Wyatt Earp allegedly killed Curly Bill Bridges. The writer of this presentation would be immediately criticized and challenged if presented in Tombstone! I have lived here almost forty years. Regardless of fact or fiction, Cochise County, Arizona is a fascinating and fun place to visit.

It wasn’t actually at the Okay Corral, it was further down the street from there. I know because I was there. I got to visit the site as a teenager on a family trip one year!
