Chapman still got the heat but I’m impressed ohtani put the bat on all his strikes, barely missed that homer. Dudes only 23 crazy to think how good he is already and how much better he could get

Ohtani is like “Oh, so its how the hitters feel like when I pitch 100mile fast ball”

Saw Ohtani play in person at Angels Stadium. The dude is huge and looks like a beast. The Vids don't show it, but when u r up close man. This guy is just big and lean man. Also, 23 hits for power, speed, throws and brains. I would say this guy has a long historical future ahead of him. Everybody saying, yeah lets see what and how he does in years to come. Just appreciate the moment now man. I have mad respect for Ohtani and his skills, Yankees missed out on this one.

It doesn't matter whether Chapman or not.
But it's only the beginning of baseball history for Shohei.

That was a great at-bat for Ohtani! He's a beast!

Even though he grounded out, it's still impressive being that it was lefty on lefty vs one of the hardest throwers in baseball. And he didn't swing and miss at any pitch, Ohtani is not only great for baseball but also the future of baseball.

Why do they call his swing awkward when it’s one of the most beautiful swings I’ve ever seen.... his mechanics at the plate and on the mound are a huge part of his success no doubt.

I just don't understand how people can throw these fastballs and still have a functioning arm

many MLB fans evaluate possibility of Shohei Otani, i'm proud of him as a fellow Japanese.

One of those match ups where you appreciate how good players are. Trout vs Kershaw, Cabrera vs Clemens, the list goes on. Baseball’s the best. You could have some of the worlds best hitters vs the worlds best pitchers. Mano y mano. Best game ever

I forgot when, but I've seen Instagram(probably) photos of them taking two-shot photos with a smile.

i believe that this face off is the most exciting of all ever even though ohtani couldn’t hit. The place is NY and you can still watch young promising ohtani’s batting performance against Chapman. I very 0:20 often see this one with awe and respect of the two guys.❤

Otani did well. He just missed a big hit on one ball. And he almost got an opposite way homerun that sliced foul. I was impressed. But don't worry these two will see each other again for many years to come
