Art is looking great. The old-school CRT effect combined with the screenshake really gives the game a strong visual identity and works very well with the pixel art. Excited to give the game a try.

7 minutes of gold. Love the spell sculpting and I can see some insane builds happening with some cool combo's

For the currency, I recommend making a currency for ingame use and a separe one for meta-progression. When they are the same I often don't spend it because I first want to max out the meta bit. Causing a negative loop. You could check out Deep Rock Survivor for some inspiration on the meta progression and currencies.

I'm making a survivor game as well, i suggest making the reroll something like tft. You just can refresh the choice once per slot everytime the menu shows up. keep the meta currency on it's own :)

Nice! It looks like you're nearly done with your game? Don't forget to add a bunch of stats so players can see info of what's going on - if possible. Maybe you'll have to save this as it might be useful to tie this to an achievement system sort of? :) Ah and btw -

meta progression currency can be awarded on run end as a % of currency gained (/spent) during the run. this doesnt encourage players to hoard currency during the run. additionally geting awarded meta currency inscead of run currency (if they come from the same source) doesnt feel like you are missing out on character power when you need it

I personally think its better to keep the meta-progression and ingame currency seperate, if they are the same many people would prob be too afraid to use the currency to rather stockpile it to max out the meta-progression

I think the metaprogression currency should be something else because if it's also the in-game currency, they would just not care about metaprogression or care too much and don't spend any currency in-game so you get more currency for meta-progression and if they do that they'd probably not like the game as much, because they are just grinding metaprogression

Whenever a game has the in-gun currency be the same as meta-progression. I never use it until my meta-progression is done.

Hey, I stumbled upon this video like I'm sure nearly everyone else has, and I have a couple of thoughts! My first impression was this game has a similar visual profile to that of SNKRX (though ofc this is much more than squares and blobs), and I wonder is that a source of inspiration or coincidence? I may be missing some previous devlog context, but what is your direction with the current visual style? Are the sprites and graphics for the game currently placeholders, mockups, or closer to the final iteration? As SNKRX demonstrates, simple visuals can create a really fun chaos, but I personally love how a game like WildFrost unexpectedly put so much attention into their UI for such a threatening, strategy-heavy game. It'd be really cool to see this game mix the simplicity of SNKRX with the love of WildFrost. These could totally be unrealistic suggestions for an indie dev project, but I really like the work you've put in so far and I'm curious what your future plans are for it!

Maby you gain so much legacy esence as you have spend in your run so picking a difrent spel is limited but encoureged
