When I saw the first teaser for The Amazing Spider-Man I was angry, because I thought he wouldn't make a better Spider-Man than Tobey Maguire and that it was stupid to make a reboot, but after watching the 2nd and 3rd trailer it totally convinced me to go see this movie. It reminds me very much of the comic. That is something the other Spider-Man didn't do as much as this.

The spider biting him is most likely an accident but the spider is based off of work that his father did, he was trying to learn more about his father. In ultimate spider-man peters dad worked with Eddie Brocks dad to make the venom suit(originally intended to be a way to cure cancer)This is a mix of the ultimate and amazing spider man universes. Lets see how it comes together, if it fails in the box office, hopefully marvel gets the rights back from Sony and they do spider-man right!

Actually, Peter's parents and their fate played a continuous role throughout the series. Not a main focus, but it was there.

So if anyone has read ultimate spider man ....this story seems very accurate remeber his parents had everything to do with basically everything going on especially venom since they created the suit to cure cancer and other illnesses all these marvel releases are based mostly off the ultimates universe

I favor reboots that are more along the storyline I grew up with, like this one. This storyline seems much closer to the comic books I read than the first Spidey movie. I like the fact that he invented his own web like in the comic books instead of it being a side effect of the spider bite.

I LOVE Sally Field! And of course, the ever so beautiful Emma Stone. Definitely a must-watch.

This look for Peter Parker is the original comic book style, he wasn't silent and pitiful, he was geeky, like this. :)
