France Riots: Macron Attempts to Restore Order

Tensions eased in France on Sunday after almost a week of nationwide riots touched off by a police officer’s fatal shooting of a teenager. French President Emmanuel Macron met with key cabinet ministers into the evening hours in his latest attempt to craft a response to the violence, which is testing his authority and ability to carry out reforms. Caroline Connan reports on Bloomberg Television.

There are thousands of Indian and Chinese immigrants in western countries but I have never heard of any police brutality against them or the same communities creating Chaos and riots ever. The reason is that they are hardworking and respect the law and society that has accepted them. I don't understand only why these people always use minority card all the time!

Let’s talk about root cause of these riots: anti French hatred by immigrants youths. Ask anyone in France what the biggest minority in France (Algerian) thinks about France and you’ll have your answer! You won’t find Italian and Portuguese immigrants behaving this way. And to all the people saying France deserves this has punished for colonialism bear in mind France invested heavily in Algeria building roads schools hospitals etc. Algeria thrived under French rule and whatever the case the past is not the present and Vietnamese don’t do this …Vietnam is thriving today while Algeria well after French have left us in turmoil …authoritarian regime mixed with radical islamists so go figure !!! Also French have invested heavily in banllieus and provide equal services to all : free education free housing free healthcare …it’s not the USA …the only reason for this is that some people don’t want to assimilate and prefer to wage war on France! The police have their hands tied by politicians so time

A 17 year old driving a Mercedes at high speed was being chased by cops for 30 minutes. Cops had him stuck in traffic & had a gun on him. He sped off anyway, and got shot.
Seems like a bad reaction from the cop, but playing games with the Cops gets you stupid prizes.

14 to 18-year-olds should be in school, hanging out with friends, playing sports, etc. Not running around on the streets rioting, vandalizing and looting. There's no excuse for that behavior. None whatsoever.

I am a asian .i want see france as france not some immigrant nation .Dont overcompensate people who dont appreciate your country .If i wan to go to france what i want to see the richness of french culture not middle east or any other foreign culture .I am not saying french people shouldnt be diverse to learn or accept other culture but not to the extend of losing your native culture of orgin to foreigners May france rise to its glory in beautiful way .Gd luck.🙏
