My $100, 00 mortgage is now self identifying as a Student Loan!!

I bank at Wells Fargo and a gentleman came into the bank and deposited $13, 000 dollars. This was on Saturday and the teller told him the check would be held until Tuesday. The man understood and asked for $10, 000 in cash from already existing funds. She said the bank only had $5, 000. The man was incredulous, as were those of us standing in line.

Worked 30 hours and went to school part time and finished in 7 years with no debt. Others around me went into debt and partied hard. Disgusting.

Where is the outrage in this country over all this economic turmoil? My impression is that most people are still pacified with the way things are right now. Pretty soon it will be too late

The 3 of us in our family received a bogus Wells Fargo letter last week stating that someone accessed our mortgage and stole our social security numbers and to go to some website to get some fraud prevention membership. We don’t bank with Wells Fargo, we don’t even have any mortgages, let alone 3 people being on the same bogus mortgage. Be careful folks.

My kids both paid their student loan debts off, recently. My youngest paid 90, 000. Shes 28. My oldest is 30 she paid off 65, 000. They had no help from the government.I am furious at Brandon, he is a true disgrace. Can't the stand the fool.

Both parties in this Arizona Couple have college degrees. The tuition and living expenses for one of us was paid by the parents. The other had no tuition costs but had a small student loan for living expenses. This loan was completely paid over a period of 10 years.
We had no guarantee that either of us would be able to get a job with our degrees, but it was long ago when a college degree was worth something for employers to want college graduates, regardless of what the degree was for.
Today, even after this $10, 000 forgiveness, the cry is that it should have been $50, 000 or even paid completely by the government. And, that colleges should be held liable, in some way, for students who can not get a job after their education!
This is not only unfair to all who had loans and paid them, but to those who had none, and those who did not go to college at all and will all have to pay for the ones that got bailed out!
Believe me, we have many people that we know who feel the same as us.
All this comes from an Administration that has no economic sense whatsoever to the point of insanity.

I paid my daughters federal student loan debt off earlier this year. I in no way make 125k a year and neither does she. I am pissed.
To me it was a slimy political move by Biden.

My second oldest went 70k in debt getting a masters in poetry at San Diego st. She however did get a job at pandera and briefly a teaching job in Manhattan. Her husband to be, bailed her out since he’s a lawyer..I love my daughter, but college was just a school of propaganda.

I recently scrutinized my Chase account statement and noticed I was being charged $25 a month for a service fee. I went to my local branch to close out the account when they asked why I was leaving. I pointed to the statement service fee. They agreed on the spot to reimburse all previous charges (four months worth) and cease the monthly fee.
Freaking crooks they are.

As a previous teller, The branch should have ran the check as a non customer and checked to see if it was a positive payee check.

My brother got one of those checks from Wells Fargo. ...only $5. We thought it was a scam so he called them and was told from an old account. My brother said to WF person he would come to bank and cash it. Was told he had to reopen an account or pay $5 fee to cash the $5 check. How crazy is that!

I had 2 and a half years of garnishments for student loans, leaving me $480 a month to "live" on! Where was my forgiveness? BTW I got into that mess by my partner getting diagnosed with CANCER, not just f'ing off, huge medical bills, lost business because customers scared of the word cancer! It's taken me a DECADE to recover and now I need to navigate this inflation and housing bubble. Where was my relief then?!!

At the hospital where I work as an RN, they are cutting back on auxiliary staff...housekeeping, lab, radiology, transport and asking these people to work one shift less and use their own PTO to make up the gap. If these people fall below 36 hours a week -- they lose their health insurance 😤

When a bank can't verify that they issued a check, that's a big red flag.

They should send money to people who do not have student loans.
