This also can be applied to single item boxes if you have a coin already. So if you have a coin in 1st hold onto it if your going through a single box set

I wouldn't be as upset with a 40% red shell rate if they were closer to how they worked in Wii and not trained US snipers with 300 confirmed kills trained in 38 different martial arts and also knows your ip address

There was this one race I was playing online that I got two coins in first, and I thought it wasn’t possible, but then I saw the person in second holding a coin, and then he used it and had another, and at every item box set for the rest of the race all anybody got was 2 coins. It was also a broken lobby, half of the people playing dced and their karts were just sitting in the middle of the track. Definitely one of the weirdest races I’ve ever played

I’m convinced that the people that are always saying bagging is cheating have never played an online race lol, that would explain the “going fast all the time wins you the race” argument since that works with the CPUs usually

Seriously, it's like aimbot. Nothing seems to be able to crack them.
I once saw one coming after me going through a chain chomp.

Just throw one, and it's guaranteed to hit the person in front of you. And if not hit, then at least reach.

I think the fact that you can pull up to 4 REDS around 2-3rd at an item set while the very best first place can do is a very low (~9%) chance of two defense items with no coins for defense is very jank, even for Mario Kart standards lol.

Mario Cart isnt traditional racing. Why? Because of the items. The items add another layer of complexity to this game. Imagine it like mechanic that wasnt originally intended but works.

And if you still dont like it, F1 teams utilise bagging. And they dont even have items.

What Mario Kart fans call "bagging" is a pretty normal part of racing irl. Look at Mazdas 1990 bagging win at Le Mans for example. They detuned their cars by like 30% until the final hours of the race and then took first place after other competitors started crashing out and damaging their transmissions and stuff.

If bagging is cheating, then the Coin percentage is (ironically) highway robbery. I'm fine with the coin chance so that 1st is always a little in trouble plus it factors into saving good items for Boos and a quick way of getting coins back after a Blue Shell hit but 70% when 2nd's rolling reds nearly half the time is kinda bull.

I find it crazy that the people who find bagging cheating, even though they’re talking about a game where you throw banana peels to spin someone out. I don’t see the problem with it, chances are Nintendo knew people were gonna use it. If they didn’t like it they prolly would’ve fixed it already

I love your content man! I love the passion and excitement you have when playing. Its insane how well you can play and talk, that is a very hard thing to do while managing all the things you need in a race. A few months ago I played Mario Kart just casually, but after seeing a video I had to idea just how deep the mechanics went. You got me back into the game and helped me get way better. The list of racing events where you should not always go as fast as possible is pretty misleading, though. Most of those are there to preserve either driver or vehicle. When that is not a consideration, go fast.

Particularly, on the mention of #3, Formula 1 Pit Strategies, fresh tires are to ensure you don't crash and die from a blown tire going hundreds of miles per hour.
