So, a couple of days ago there was somewhat of a political earthquake in Sweden when the Sweden Democrats made a joint proposal with the traditional centre-right parties and the liberals. PICTURE
What made it surprising was that it was about migration, the biggest issue in Sweden that has divided the political class for many many years.

These parties were forced to come to an agreement because the main law regarding migration in Sweden is expiring.

Of course the Sweden democrats for example and the liberals don’t agree with each other on the concept of migration as a whole but the fact that they’re at least talking seems like a step in the right direction for Sweden.

The details however are frankly pretty boring and what struck me the most about their agreement, is how far behind Sweden is in the migration debate compared to the rest of Europe.

"Europe needs to become more diverse." Such a big load of rubbish. Europe as a continent has always been diverse with its own indigenous European cultures, ethnicities and languages. Europe is and was already diverse enough.

Multiculturalism they want. But except European culture. As their culture grow here, and at their parts of their world, our gets smaller in the world. So it's globally less multicultural as we get smaller. But they get bigger. So everyone who say multiculturalism and big immigration outside of Europe is a good thing actually is saying an oxymoron. The young generation was not asked her opinion about immigration and the change of society. But the older generations were not asked about it either. Immigration was indeed imposed in a non-democratic way. In France, every public poll about immigration in the past 40 years resulted in more that 60% of the people saying "no" to immigration. What did the governments during all these years? They flooded the country with immigrants, which is exactly the opposite of what the people wanted.

In America, we’ve given up on immigrants learning our language. Everything you need or use has English and Spanish directions. When applying for State Aid like Welfare or Food Assistance, they provide translators to help non-English speakers fill out the necessary forms or talk to the necessary agencies.
