Feels like TK woulda been better to pit ROH on ice until a deal is imminent - absence makes the heart grow fonder

I’m an old school ROH fan from the DVD era. I consider their 2004-2008 period to be some of the best pro wrestling ever made. So while I really appreciate how TK uses the old school ROH championship designs rather than the modern ones, I have to agree with Lance that featuring the ROH belts on AEW TV is just putting FAR too many belts on their shows.

AEW already managed to have too many belts under their own umbrella (and managed to do so in only 3 years time); adding ROH belts on top of that has just gotten ridiculous. Either have an ROH show, or put the titles on ice. I get that they’re probably being featured to help sell the concept of an ROH show to TV networks, but it’s kinda hurting the show they already have (one of many individual small things hurting the show)

Having them be just a couple of titles out of ten others on the show is devaluing their legacy more than not featuring them at all.

I don’t get why he doesn’t just change one of those YouTube shows into strictly an ROH show. Be a good place for it while looking for a tv deal and I doubt losing one of those Dark shows would break anyones heart.

Agree with Lance 100%. As far as “cusp” it’s been how long now? At least 6+ months since be bought them. That’s not on the cusp of anything. The Jericho storyline is cool. But these ROH belts cheapen the AEW titles. There just way too many belts on AEW programming. And get those lame mixed gender titles & Shida off brand belt off tv. It’s too much.

100% AEW has suffered A LOT in my eyes because of emphasis on ROH. I watch AEW shows for AEW, not for ROH

FAX, create a bubble in AEW for the divisions like how there used to be. A bubble for the main event title division & TNT division. When someone from another company rarely enters a division it’ll have much greater impact on adding a brand new dynamic to the division

Tony Khan in Sports Illustrated 3 days ago:

"We’ll have great news soon about Ring of Honor weekly shows. The success of Death Before Dishonor on pay-per-view has ensured there will be more Ring of Honor pay-per-views. Our goal is to have one more great pay-per-view for Ring of Honor in 2022 and then follow that up with a weekly show in 2023."

Patience guys. These things take time

At the moment maybe TK should get rid of one of the 2 Dark YouTube shows and make one of them ROH with It's own talent pool that sticks to the being only on the ROH show.

What about an online programming for Ring Of Honor?
Like NWA and Impact does but with paid subscription or something.

Ring Of Honor should be treated as a secondary brand similar to NXT was, with just great wrestling and not so many crazy storylines with some fantastic character work in between.

Imagine having The Excursion storyline with Konosuke Takeshita end with him finally winning a title but this time defeating the reigning ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe for the big one.

Or even with the Mad King Eddie Kingston finally winning the big one by finally winning the ROH World Title failing to defeat his rival Claudio for it but returning and finally defeating the B+ Player himself Bryan Danielson.

Honestly, he should put Dark Elevation on hold and run the first hour as Ring of Honor and put the show online until he gets a television deal. Have Dynamite/Rampage focus on AEW, I agree with that 100 percent.

I always thought Khan should have just split his current roster in two like WWE does with Raw and Smackdown. Have Dynamite and Dark be for AEW then have Rampage and Elevation for RoH. Having the ROH show only on the Honor Club streaming service, doesn't seem like it's gonna get alot of views

He needs ROH because of how much talent he has. Everyone needs to wrestle and have a spot I think that's the biggest struggle is keeping track of everything. Maybe ROH vs AEW would be dope

I haven't hated ROH content on Dynamite or Rampage, but I can agree that dedicating a lot of time to it has probably caused more compelling AEW-focused TV to be pushed aside for it, and there are a lot of talented people fans want to see MORE than the people being lined up to build ROH into a full brand.

That said, whether TK wants ROH to be a healthy second brand or not, I think ROH serves as a really good NXT for them. I'm reluctant to call it "developmental, " because that suggests it'll be full of green individuals who probably shouldn't be on TV or streamed yet, but ROH was 100%, without any doubt or speculation, the very best proving ground for wrestling talent outside of Japan, and in case anyone wants to debate that...look at the immense top talent in the industry NOW who either cut their teeth or proved themselves as top talent by passing through Ring of Honor.

People expecting ROH to some 7-8.0 ratings grab are fooling themselves, just as people seeing it as trash are also fooling themselves. ROH can and should be used properly and efficiently, and the start of the streaming episodes is the beginning of that use.

I wish we could clone a 90’s Vince and have him run AEW

If I Could Be Serious For A Minute...Lance Storm should've gotten a way better run in WWE than he got and he should've stayed in the Red and White and brought the whole Team Canada gimmick with him I was really disappointed in how they did him Lance Storm was awesome and he was from Calgary... Alberta, Canada
