Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Review - The Final Verdict

The original Epic Mickey was always a fascinating prospect, but even when it first launched back in 2010, it never quite managed to be an equally good game, not only because of some of its ideas not being properly fleshed out, but also because of the flawed manner in which it executed others that had been.

Now, close to a decade and a half later, the platformer is back with an expanded remaster, and though Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is still a flawed game, it’s also a much better version of the original. From a fascinating premise to compelling core mechanics, there’s plenty to like here, even if it is still a pretty uneven experience.

I had to turn off the review because of the music, but: it's Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. He's not a mouse. Maybe the reviewer was thinking of Mortimer? (Also, did the reviewer even... play the game? Oswald's got some pret-t-t-t-t-y long ears...)

Uh no you are completely wrong SMH the movement is not floaty AT ALL the only bad thing about movement and controls is no jump momentum, if you call this “floaty” thats a skill issue because the controls are pretty good, the controls are better than rehydrated, it’s not perfect but it’s pretty dang good like I said, so get that “floaty” movement out, 7:19 looks like a literal robot controlling the game there is no way you are serious, if you talk about floaty and clunky movement there are plenty of games that actually are horrible optimized controls wise but this is not one of them

This remake is great! I am enjoying replaying through a game that was epic back in 2010. It hasn’t lost its charm.

Thanks for spoiling that Oswald is the villain btw. Maybe you could have left story related elements out that would have been more of a delight to experience in game.
