All i know about Nemo is her chess match against Anna Cramling where she made an illegal move; on Anna's recap, the move was shown and explained away as confusion and a mistake. On Nemo's recap, she didn't include the footage.

Nemo actually has a very sketchy history in chess as well. It is a decently well known in the chess community that it is highly likely that Nemo achieved her WGM chess title by going to closed round robin tournaments in Europe and paying strong players to have a prearranged draw or win for Nemo. There is quite a bit of analysis online which anyone can read for themselves, but it seems extremely likely that her title was obtained through illegitimate measures.

Until today I've been a very big fan of Nemo and enjoyed her watching her videos. Now, I don't know. I feel she crossed the line with me on this one. I wish she'd just come clean and apologize and do the right thing.

Sooo... she joined a tournament with a seat, thats meant to be given away, then she played the tournament while being backseated by her boyfriend (who is a professional poker player), then won the tournament (duh) made a "giveaway" based on availability of the seat while her bf also says "yo I just want to sell that seat", so they can make money out of it?

She's an awful, disingenuous person. Cheats all the time at everything. No shame.

I originally thought she was smart but I can see she is just as naive as any young influencer. She was complaining about people objectifying her but she had proposed a hot tub stream if she got a certain number of likes or subscribers.

This is just disgusting.
How can a person be that dishonest?

You would think a pro poker player and chess player would be better at scamming. This is beyond stupid.

These kind of people are such narcissists. They can never see the wrong in their bad behavior. I for one hate that people waste so much time being simps for these “influencers”. Very sad lives

She has been a scammer since she started playing chess. Even her chess title is very suspicious. Allegedly, her parents create tournaments to artificially increase her rating. Also, the giveaway winner is a poker player; guess what? Her boyfriend. Thallo is the owner of the YouTube poker promotion page. The Ecgab is, in fact, Thallo’s own YouTube poker promotion channel. The correct winner is "Thallo".

The only thing I’ll say about the comments thing is that sometimes comments get automatically deleted by YouTube. Jean Francois is a loyal commenter of mine and for some reason his comments were being deleted before I could see them. He sent me screenshots to verify and we came to the conclusion that YouTube was deleting the comments because they thought he was spamming. Unsure why their bot was flagging him.

The story here isn’t the morality of the activity, as immoral as it was (both for this woman and her coach). The real story is the stupidity of both of them to not foresee the backlash. This situation should definitely cause them both of them $10s of thousands of dollars of lost income (much more than the cost of the seat)! The coach should be fired from his company. A poker coaching company should want to distance themselves from anything akin to theft or immoral behavior. For this woman, her audience probably largely consists of simps who throw money at her and probably won’t be affected…”pretty girl” privilege.
