Also, what is the distinction between a child and a minor? It seems like a distinction without a difference.
Ultimately, mutilation surgery is being performed on people under the age of eighteen.

This is exactly the kind of double speak that creates an atmosphere of confusion which is poison to any hope of havibg honest discourse. For Mr. Soave to summarize the interaction on-screen as unclear or undecided on its merit is frankly the kind of weak fence sitting I've come to expect from dishonest media sources. Regardless of yout position on the issue the fact that AOC misrepresented what the LibsofTikTok moderstor said and inaccurately accused her of posting misinformation. No matter where you sit on the issue this is a simple provable fact. But in modern America people who know better refuse to acknowledge empirical evidence based on their subjective opinion. This is what kids do because they haven't yet developed their skill to win arguments and will often refuse to engage in a reasonable manner.
I think its very damaging to our culture in general when media outfits undermine the value of being secure enough to admit mistakes and move on still passionate about presenting their position. When truth is demonstrated to be easily disregarded in favor of saving face or maintaining an argument on falsehoods- it begins to infect how the general population thinks and stands on these issues for themselves. Too often people will stand by blatant lies despite evidence to the contrary because our talking heads and politicans all engage like this.
I watch this clip here and I wonder how a small media outfit like yours feels it necessary to fail to acknowledge that AOC was wrong and behaved ridiculously for a person who holds her position. Regardless of your personal or corporate position on the issue - calling out the truth here doesn't threaten the integrity of what you believe in.
You can report on how you don't like libsoftiktok but still call AOC out for misteprenting the truth and being a bad congresswoman who runs away instead of engaging in discourse...

It's ridiculous that Batya expresses disapproval of Chaya Raichik's transphobia earlier in the segment, but then at the end characterizes AOC's description of Raichik as a transphobe as outrageously inappropriate. What a hypocrite!
