I´d like to share this with you. Thx . for this Puzzle & the way Prof. R. Flood has explained it . However this problem iis FIRST solved ( for Speed of Fly ) and then it is given at the beginning (15 mph) very simply without mentioning!
So for example : if you pick up any other speeds for Fly ( let say bigger or less than 15 mph ), you don´t get the right answer.
for example: if fly has the speed of 20 mph. Wheil 15 mph is the only solution, it means fly should reduces his Speed by 5 mph inorder to meet the 2 Cyclists at the same time. if the fly keeps flying with constant speed of 20 mph, he has over- passed the Cyclers and therefor it is not correct to say: he has trawel 20 miles for this meeting although he has gone 20 mile in one hour . Hope you find it useful.
