Thank you very much for touching on this subject; most of my activities date from 2008, and I was wondering how would that be perceived on application.

I understand that working as a scribe is good but I think that that is the only thing that would be meaningful to the admisions committee where a premed student would be able to learn anything about medicine outside of their college classes with the exception of shadowing the people who do that thing called billing and coding, working at a hospital in a lab, and voulenteering or working at the Medical Examiner, s office because in many instances college classes for premedical students are not taught by Medical Doctors (professors that hold MD degrees). Therfore, not only do I find it unacceptable in my opinion for someone who does not hold an MD degree to be teaching classes for premedical students because by not holding MD degrees the professor might not have the correct educationa and l or professional background to make the class clinically relevant for the students. I understand that hard sciences like Physics, and Chemistry, and Biology do play a direct role in the clinical practice of medicine but without professors that hold MD degrees teaching premed classes the students are learning alot of theory and are learning things about basic research which I recognize is also inportant in medicine in clinical practice and outside of it but that information only plays a small part when premeds who go on to medical school and become medical students are they are learning Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Microbiology in medical school. Medical school teaches medical students the main facts. In medical school medical students are only taught what is clinically relevant. When patients go to the doctor they do not care about the Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Microbiology, Anatomy, or Pathology of anything.
