Make in a Day Crochet Chunky Blanket ! So EASY 🤩 🧶

In this video I share how to make a big, squishy blanket using a modified version of the "blanket" stitch. This is even easier and faster resulting in a similar look with a beautiful fabric with excellent "drape".
A 4x5 ft blanket will take approx 6-8 hours of crochet time depending on your speed. For example, each ball took me 1.5 hours to crochet.

As a brand new crocheter, I really appreciate how thorough you are with your explanations where other tutorials gloss over things or omit the info altogether. Thank you also for filming your work up close so newbies like me can see what we are supposed to be doing and for showing EXACTLY where the hook is supposed to go on each stitch. You take your time to show the stitch pattern repeatedly, and what to look for at the end of the row and how to continue to the next row, and that is SOOOO helpful for a middle age newbie like me. You are an EXCELLENT teacher! You have given me the confidence to attempt crocheting again as I had given up on even trying after a disastrous attempt at a scarf years ago. I want to make something for my son as a housewarming gift for his new place so I am going to try making this blanket for his sofa. I have been loving the Suzette stitch these days. I’ve made bookmarks with size 3 crochet thread. Working on dresser scarves with same size thread. Also cotton washcloths with same stitch. It’s so easy to do on autopilot, like you mentioned, and pretty too. Thanks for this video.
