Guy's, I think that it's a great idea and time to put Shine in pre-school. He is very smart and can articulate to you if something happens to him. I'm a retired Pre-K teacher, and the reason I became one was because I wanted to take care of children the way I wanted my son to be taken care of. When he was younger, I couldn't find adequate child care for him. Make sure to check out the program before you enroll him there. Make pop visits to the site. Always ask Shine how his day was. Also, volunteer often 😊

Quan there are so many young people now days not here on this earth that would love to be here to see their 30th birthday. Getting on means you are blessed, every breath you take is a blessing. Think of it that way so maybe it won’t make you sad when that time comes next year.

When you've been together for years, marriage is just a word. You share everything married couples share. You guys probably feel married most of the time. And rightly so.

As a mother of a non verbal 5 year old…it’s something you never really get over like you said it’s about having a level of trust with those you leave them in the care of & it definitely gets easier. Y’all got this❤️

💯... My husband is my best friend. We have been together for 28 years!! He passed away 2 months ago, & I have lost part of myself. So, trust me, enjoy life to the fullest 😌 .

Definitely throw a party for your 30th. It's something about turning 30. Everything hits differently. I'll be 31 this year and when I turned 30 it felt like the end of an era and the beginning of something great. So beautiful. Alot was learned in my 20s

Quan, growing old(er) is truly a blessing. Embrace it! Like Rissa said, you’re in your prime in your 30’s and all of the lessons and blessings you’ve had up to this point is just a preview for what’s in store for you in the future 🙏🏾💙

29 is a special number to me!

My mom was 29 when she had me! My mom’s birthday is February 29th making her a leap year baby! She gave birth to me on October 29th! My mom and I will always be 29 years apart in age! My birth time was 2:29 pm and the Angel number 29 means there is a constant message from angels to remind you to have faith and keep your spiritual endeavors aligned always while fulfilling your Divine life purpose! 29 is a great number! ❤️

Me as a single mother and all my kids close in age. It was hard for me to let them go. And I had a hard time trusting strangers but I new my kids needed and at the same time it gives us a little break that all parents deserve. Trust me it's hard.

As a parent, there’s no getting over that fear of leaving your child with someone you don’t completely trust. But you gotta do what you gotta do, and you gotta have faith. Just continue reminding yourself it’s for your boys. Cause he NEEDS those social skills, like more than you even think. And that’s coming for someone that works in a daycare. You guys will learn to love it. When he comes home with drawings to hang on the refrigerator 🥹💙

As a parent you never get over it, you just have to do it scared and keep your child prayed up.

Daycare teacher here! Ive worked at a daycare while getting my bachelors and my masters, and I’ve stayed because I genuinely do love the kids. If you do decide to take Shine to a daycare, here are some things to look for and wouldn’t budge on when choosing.

-cameras (you usually won’t have access to these because of HIPPA, but if anything was to happen it will at least be recorded, and teachers are more likely to act right since they’re being recorded)

-Ask if they are licensed or accredited. I would NOT take him to a daycare if they aren’t accredited. (Terminology might be different because we’re not from the same state) a licensed daycare requires the bare minimum, but an accredited daycare is held to a way higher standard. Our state has licensed, bronze, silver, gold. I would aim for NY’s version of gold.

-Observe the classroom when you are touring, trust your gut feeling. I would watch how the other children interact with the teachers and how the teachers interact with the children. Also, if a teacher is using an extreme customer service voice when speaking with the children in front of you, that’s not real and not always but usually they’re speaking in that tone because they know their normal tone isn’t correct and they’re hiding from the parents. I speak to the children in my normal tone in front of the parents and when they’re not there because I don’t change my interactions with the kids when the parents leave.

-I would ask them what their daily schedule is and if they don’t have one, I would not bring them there. This typically means that they just spend all day free playing, which is good for development, however, you would want them to be enhancing fine, motor skills, gross motor skills, reading, dancing, etc. An accredited daycare will require a schedule.

A lot of parents feel bad at drop off when their child is crying, and sometimes this makes parents feel like something bad is happening. I would just trust your gut feeling, but do know that crying at drop off is very normal and a lot of the time it just means that they don’t wanna leave you❤
