Replacing suspension bushes | AUTODOC tips

Have you noticed uneven tyre wear? Squeaking when going over bumps? Poor handling in corners?
It must be time to replace the suspension bushes.

🛠️ You'll need:
- a press, vice, or threaded puller spindle
- a set of different-sized metal bush drivers
- a drive socket set
- a mounting lever
- a grinder
- hydraulic jack and jack stands
- a wire brush
- a torque wrench
- WD-40 spray
- copper grease.

Question. Why do you not use the hydraulic press to remove the old bush rather than the hammer & chisel?

So all i can find is what they do and how to remove etc how or where does the bushing joint articulate when the arm goes up and down the inner tube on the bolt??

Just some advice I've had clunking noises from car on rough roads took car to garage they say its the suspension bushes they need replacing the quote is £272.10 is this a reasonable cost for that Job ??

Definitely worth noting that you'll probably need a wheel alignment after this type of work

Oh the irony !, the mechanic today said he could not replace my lower arm bushings ! . i will invest in the complete lower arms plus bushings soon.
