Crazy to think I wasn’t even born when this song came out. It’s a timeless masterpiece. It seems like it could even be released today and would still be fire 🔥

There was a teen nightclub in Knoxville Tn called Weekends back in the 80s and this was the song they used for the commercials on the radio

I never heard of Debbie Deb until I was at the skating rink about a month ago on a Saturday night. I looked it up and I'm amazed how this throwback jam got passed me but it didn't get passed the Internet. ❤

She still kicks ass.. I love her music grew up listening to her remembering cruising with my sisters in our dads banana boat Chevy Impala.. It was the family car and he would let us take it out as long as we were back by 10 pm.. Good ole days!!

I noticed also she lost a good amount of weight. Keep it up Deb. Get out there make that money. You should do the Indian Casino circuit.

It was 1985. I was 6. My baby sitter’s son was probably 14 and he and his friends were a “breakdancing crew” I think I heard this song at least 100 times that summer, while they worked on moves and a routine to this song. Later that year he was hit by a car and killed, while riding his skateboard. RIP RICKY!
