A little short-tempered on Morris's side. They kinda settled down at the inbound with very little words but refs had to chime in like a nursery school teacher with the ejections 👏🏾

I like Morris. While the ejection is bad, with such a young and inexperienced team I think it's good to have one of our vets play tough guy, especially in a game that doesn't mean much.

Might seem childish, but it lets other teams know that they can't bully our new/small guys and get away with it. Case in point, people mess on the court with Lonzo all the time because LA doesn't have a Morris who gets in their faces (and because Lonzo comes across as very passive). I just wish our enforcer wasn't so important to our team.

Sport is an alpha world, even back at the high school level. In an alpha world you need that enforcer figure, even if it is mostly theatrics.

Morris shoved first at 21 seconds. He started talking and Portis was talking and Morris suddenly really needed to move directly behind where Portis was and needed to walk through him instead of around him. Then ref tells them to move apart but Portis keeps following him around not saying anything just shadowing him. Then Morris says something and Portis is instantly upset by it and bumps into him and gets shoved by Morris. I'm pretty sure at 59 seconds Portis says either, "He called me a Homo" or "He's a Homo". Then they both get tossed.
Portis will never back down. His favorite player was Kevin Garnett and he has that mentality. He likes to envision his opponents as someone that is trying to hit his mom. So if you start something with him you have to be willing to see it through because he's not going to let it go. You'll either have to back down or possibly fight or hope he gets ejected before you both do.
I one day hope to see him and Draymond playing and get into something because I would be excited to see how it would go because neither one of them can let things go.
