The Truck Topper Mod You Need: Rails and Cargo Net DIY Install

In this DIY video I install a cargo net and roof rails to my truck camper shell. This is a very purposeful truck topper modification. For now, it will hold my fishing poles while I go camping.

Screw a small hook in the center. You can hook the middle of the net in it when needed to reduce the bounce.

i have nearly the exact truck setup but i went with plastic bins meant for under your bed, much less weight to pack around

Very cool. I was wondering how much weight that could carry on the roof, but you were just on it and it wasn't bending etc. Not saying your big, but you know what I mean. LoL.
Why doesn't your wife, or GF who was there go camping with you, does she just not like going? I guess it's not for everyone, but it's nice you can still enjoy it when you can.
Would be nice to somehow keep that nook in the front of the bed area for valuables, if you have something like your computer, camera, drone etc that you want to hide. Make it so, if someone did get in there, they'd have no idea that was even there. 👍
