What to know about the Teamsters' strike against Amazon

The Teamsters have launched the biggest strike against Amazon in U.S. history, and it comes during the height of the retailer's busy holiday season. CBS News correspondent Carter Evans reports.

The last few years UPS had a contract with the post office to deliver a lot of Amazon packages. In January the post office wanted a 40% increase from UPS. UPS said no and cancelled what was known as Surepost. Did the post office demand a 40% increase in what they charge Amazon? I’d like to know. The post office lost 9.5 billion last year. So in effect 17 the taxpayers subsidizes Amazon.

I get it and worked as a mgr for the efficiency engineers and opposite as a union Stewart.
They are not employed by amazon, like hiring a Christmas help for your gift shop.
Amazon will drop those subcontracting after Christmas, and they are all out, just stating the facts like it or not. Why drag the lifelong teamsters paying dues each week? into this seasonal employees, just another fake news

Teamsters not even representing real Amazon workers. Real Amazon workers are inside sorting and putting packages into the vans for the drivers. The drivers are paid by their bosses and not Amazon. And real Amazon workers don't wear the blue delivery uniform which is exclusively for the drivers.
