i just looked up both of them and obviously being a knife guy i want both, but i am currently on a part time budget. do you think the recon 1 provides the same durability and usability as the sr1? or is one definitely better?

How thick is it behind the edge? Is it a club or can it actually cut? Is a 4Max Scout gonna be a better slicer since they are close in price (give or take $20).

Just ordered the sr1 lite im so excited! Its a damn beast. Also, it’s been 3 years how have your sr1s been holding up? Do you think they still good value?

Your reaction is priceless. I just got one for $135 shipped but it's on backorder. I can't stand the cold steel 4max in s35vn priced at $425 when you can get the sr1 for 1/4 of the price.

I have the Cold steel Code 4 tanto, it's an awesome knife. I've heard of the sr1 described as a knife-like object that is also a pry bar hehe. The Code 4 tanto probably has more strength then I'll ever need even in the worst situations which I like, and it has aluminum scales with no liner so it's pretty light and very thin, but the steel is still thick. Not quite as thick as the sr1 heh.
