i’ve been playing bass for some time and i have to tell ya, there are a lot of big names and flea types but i appreciate the rhythmic timing of his right hand playing and unmatched ability and perfect timing and muting well keeping a perfect backbone for whatever musicians he’s playing with, when i watch steve play bass i’m not watching his fret hand, im watching him pluck, pull and mute with his right hand, if you have ever played bass live with a band you’ll know what im talking about, this is one of the all around greatest of all times, some of the most rythmic and best bass licks of all times, what a legend i tell ya ! and a great human too
