Isn’t the series elite controls like 180? When I worked at a Game Store we sold a bunch and no one ever sweated the price. So 20 bucks more to me it’s whatever people will spend money on what they want.

If the stick situation GUARANTEES no drift ever, then it already makes this worth. Instead of rebuying the Dualsense after a year or so, you can just pop additional sticks for less and keep going, plus enjoy all the premium features. Thinking of getting it.

Xbox elite controller comes with adjustable trigger locks, rubber grips, it’s rechargeable (standard Xbox controllers are not), interchangeable sticks and D pad, and you can adjust stiffness in sticks.

Honestly this controller gives you all the features of a scuff or battle beaver for cheaper if your looking for a controller with back buttons I think this one’s a no brainer

DAMN! Almost half the price of the console.

I got you guys, get the RISE4 kit. $40 and about 30 mins of your time and you're good to go.

Well technically you don't play a lot of ps5 games because there's not that many.
Its crazy, with console gaming getting more expensive people are better off just getting a pc at this point. Like the 500 for a console isn't bad but when you factor in all the peripherals, the more expensive games, 200$ controller, and subscriptions, you're not even saving $ in the long run. Hell, the idea of exclusives are slowly but surely eroding anyway so someone with a great pc is eating the best all around anyway

I'm definitely not a "premium gamer." However, I think it's cool that stuff like this exists for those that want it.

Definitely out of my price range. But so was the xbox elite controller. I do not like spending more than the price of a brand new game on a controller (or within $10 of the price of a game) I don't think Sony ever expected this to be a mainstream product since most console owners are fine with the base controller.

Here we go again. People complaining about a controller cost $200.00 but People will pay upwards of $500.00 for a pair of shoes that cost $2.99 to make. People be expecting items that take years to make for dirt cheap prices.

I feel as though this is definitely for competitive players, particularly FPS sweats. Being able to complete an action while keeping my thumbs on the sticks can save me in a pinch. Although, I’d prefer to mod my controller and save the $200.

Pros/cons:
a new DS $70, mod kit $40, my time ???
$200, but a guarantee to the function of the controller.

Basic Elite 2 is around $150, Elite 2 Core full pack is $180, both a get a year of free warranty, and I noticed the DSE doesn't have a profile selector for the button mappings, which would mean you gotta launch the app to switch layout profiles.

Now, sony, instead of fixing the drifting problem of DS, they created a new gamepad, one that you can replace the sticks (I bet for price around 30-40 dollars each). Instead of solving a problem they sell you a "sollution" making a market for their defective product.

Honestly this is worth it to me personally. I've always wanted a scuff but refused to spend the $300

I preordered this day 1. I'll admit, I spend way too much on controllers. But they ALL get stick drift. When Astro C40 came out, those were almost perfect. However their triggers constantly broke when using the trigger stop. But they were really nice for swapping out analogs for only $20 when drift occured. The Edge will have $19 replacement analogs and that alone I believe will pay itself back.

I also cannot go back to gaming without paddles. Though it doesn't significantly change my skill level, it does significantly improve quality of life. It frustrates me that back paddles/buttons aren't just a default feature. I rememeber when shoulder buttons first came out. It had its detractors too calling it unneccesary. Now look at them. It's standard. Back paddles should also be standard now.

Can't wait to a future video on comparison between the X-Box Elite controller and the PS5 Duel Sense Edge.

I’m on my second elite bc the analog sticks, so being able to swap them out for just 20 bucks is a game changer for me personally

they really need to include adaptive analog sticks. Maybe it could be possible in the future since they are replaceable?
