Now that I have completed the black & white challenge, I am eagerly awaiting a call from Sony to cast me as Spiderman Noir

Edit: Everyone is asking so I will explain how I filmed this: I film videos by looking through the camera screen, and I applied a filter to the screen for this video. When I snapped the filter away, I would look around the camera to see the real cube.

More details you didn't ask for: it's a phone camera and the filter is from Android developer options: simulate color space. I then used a screen recording app to capture the filtered version of the video because I couldn't find the same filter for desktop. It was a pain but it worked 😬

The chomonomaly color blindness, or however you spell it, I legit got scared and searched it up, and nothing showed up, thanks J Perm!

Lemme just say, as a colorblind person with deuteranomaly, with the filter, it looks different from without the filter. The way my colorblindness works is that some colors look different. This means that when the filter is on, not only do people with normal color vision see a change, but colorblind people such as myself also see a change

Oh my god, the chromanomaly one actually got me. I spent a solid 15 minutes searching for a test online. You got me lmao, well done 👏 👏

God, I think what makes the Chromonomaly one so convincing is, there looks like there’s a SLIGHT change in the color of the table with each snap, like a Colorblind filter that isn’t 100% perfect, and maybe its just a placebo illusion or something, but even knowing ahead of time that Chromonomaly was fake, it still got me for a second

PSA to any of you who haven't tested yourself for colorblindness: just because you saw a difference in the filters Dylan used doesn't mean you aren't colorblind. Everyone sees a difference with the filter - for example, the deuteranomaly filter makes things look darker than what many people with deuteranomaly actually see and the protanomaly filter made the red more black than people with protanomaly actually see.
So even if you saw a difference between the filter and the normal color scheme, it's still worth checking if the filters looked *close* to what you normally see.

I love that for color blindness number three it looked like you got PLL parity on a 3x3.

The Triple Moves was the the most hilarious struggle of going against your good habits.

The Regripless Challenge seems the most practical. It almost looked like JPerm was doing a SlowMo Version of a Max Park solve.

Interesting to learn that I've actually been doing the "wrist- turn challenge"for the last 15 years 🙃

I DEFINITELY fell for the Chromanomaly bit... I was googling like a mad man 🤣🤣🤣

Just for that, you need to do a Mini Guildford Challenge video next!

Challenge idea:
Get a cube with the same colors. But have them in a different position. So have like yellow next to white and red next to orange. See how much it throws you off

I’m actually so happy I caught the yellow and white mix up

Edit: Almost got me with “this light blue one looks weird”

Here's something I've tried recently (and failed at miserably):
- Start with a solved cube
- Place your thumbs and middle fingers on the four pieces on the second layer
- From now on, your fingers will always remain on those pieces (and colors)
- No regripping and no other fingers allowed.
- Scramble ther cube this way and then solve it this way (if you scramble it normally, it might become unsolvable)
This is a little hard to explain, but once you hold the cube in your hand it should be intuitive to understand whyt I mean.
For clarification: From the starting position, you can only do R and r. However, after a single r or R, you could do S D2 S'.

If anyone understands and can explain this better, please do so :D

I have a friend with chromanomaly. They can usually tell most colours apart, but apparently violet and purple look exactly the same to them. I mean, they’re not even close! Same with beige and light brown.

POV: you realize J Perm solves the cube with wrist turns faster than you can solve the cube normally

Edit: I didn’t think it would get 1 like thx

The Chromanomaly bit was amazing. I was able to realize it was just a prank pretty quickly, but I cant wait for more comments to flood in about how people fell for it.

Hi jperm, I’m a cuber with tritanopia (which was that blue-yellow color blindness. I wanted to point out that WCA did not overlook up special fibers and there are regulations that allow for us to have accommodations, I myself dyed my RS3 M yellow pieces to black so that I can distinguish it. I think we can just eliminate this hassle I have to face every time I get a cube, if we popularize having an optional black face rather than yellow, similar to the V-Cube

thank you for showcasing tritanomaly and the absolute struggle of seeing yellow as white. i once had my teacher get so mad because i had to find a yellow text box on some page of a text book and it was just white. and then darker yellows can look the same as orange or green so the rubiks cube is kind of a nightmare.
