Fourth Ray Beauty Ruined My Skin | Skincare Brand Review

In this video I share pretty terrible experience I had with Fourth Ray Beauty products. I had high hopes given that they are owned by Colorpop but the quality of the packaging and formulation really fell flat. I tried the following products:
- Avocado Face Oil
- Watermelon Face Milk
- Turmeric Face Oil
- Acai Face Oil
- Avocado Face Mask

Make sure to do your research before purchasing skincare no matter how pretty it looks!! lol

If your skin was tingling means you're sensitive or allergic to something in the ingredients.. It didn't matter how much time a product says it "has" to be used, as soon as you tingle, remove it..

Not trying to invalidate, just adding to the conversation that it's very true that everyone's skin is different. This was super interesting to watch because the Fourth Ray face milks are my holy grail! I swear by my Fourth Ray products but I totally respect this experience as well! Sorry things didn't work out.

I tried this face mask a few weeks ago and the exact same thing happened. It looked like I had a chemical burn all over my face and it hurt so bad. I don't understand how anyone could use this. I've used the aha and charcoal with no issues so definitely something with the ingredients in this one.

Wow, that's crazy about the bottle being plastic. I ordered a few of the milks when they first came out and they DID come in glass bottles. I think they might've switched to plastic when they started putting more product in.... yikes :( That's too bad, because they definitely did feel nicer when they came in glass bottles. I always looooved the rose milk. It smelled nice, but I also know that the milks have a lot of fragrance and people can be sensitive to that.

That's really too bad about the mask! I almost wonder if you're allergic to something in the pot, because that's seriously not normal :O

If anyone wants more info on this brand, try looking up Hyram’s channel. He has skin care/ dermatology knowledge. He says the essential oils in their items are in high amounts/ concentrations which can burn skin, so that might be why people are having bad reactions. Essential oils aren’t always the best. Especially peppermint and eucalyptus oil, they can burn and be abrasive. If you smell something (a raw product like an essential oil) and it burns your sinuses/ nostrils (that tingly feeling), then it shouldn’t be used heavily in products.
EDIT: They use fragrances and micas and possibly pigmented mica (Hyram also talks about mica issues in 3rd world countries that mine the mineral. There’s even documentaries about mining for mica on YouTube if anyone’s interested, it pretty interesting).
