About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. I am originally from the rural community of Howard, South Dakota.

Keep the tattoo as is. Hubby has some from his teen years as well. When the kids ask what it is, he tells them it's proof that at one point, he had more dollars than sense. It's a teaching moment.

The "one on one time with the kids" is a great resolution! You're right, they're always better behaved by themselves rather than in the "flock" 😂 And it really does allow you to step back and see who they are ❤

Dates with your kids is so important. I didn’t do this nearly enough. And when you do, you’ll show your sons how to treat someone else they’re with, your daughter how she should be treated, you’ll give them a safe space to talk to you about what’s on their minds, and they will absolutely love you for the dedicated time. You two are very thoughtful of each other and the family as a whole. Really admire all you try to do. Taylor - talk with a tattoo artist about your concerns (find one recommended by someone you know with a tattoo you like) and figure out the options to maybe make your current one look better.

My favorite as a mom of kiddos who have all reached 18 years old😢 - is the one on one time!!! My husband took our daughters on donut dates every Saturday until the flew the coop - actually, they still go when them come to visit. I think it’s the sweetest thing and I’m thankful for his feeding into their lives. ❤

We had our first baby last year, and I've nursed her for almost a year. It's a huge time committment! Power to Heidi for doing that with all her kids so far. Thats incredible!

It's so fun to see how much you love your kids and your family. You seem like wonderful parents curating a great family.

Love one on one time with each kid! I love when my husband and I can have time with each kid, but then each of us by ourselves with each kid. They need that time for sure! And honestly, we do, too.

I love Heidi’s self care ideas. Weather you’re postpartum or dealing with three teenagers, take time for you, skip laundry one day etc, get your nails done, a massage, Netflix all day etc. be kind to you. Raising kids is exhausting. Mental and physical.

I don’t do resolutions, but I try to focus on character qualities. This year is gratitude and deeper prayer life. ❤️

A MOPs (mother of preschoolers) group would be great! I was hesitant to join but it was amazing meeting other Christian moms who were going though the same things as me and they're also a lot of fun.

All of a baby's progress is bittersweet when you know it's your last, so I love Heidi's goal of savoring it. Soaking up those snuggles is also easier when you know it's your last baby, even when the other kids keep you busy

Thank You two. You bring fun & laughs to YouTube with your channel!! I was looking at your tool belt. LOOKING PRETTY new & unused? I bought one similar from Perkins Builder Brothers. Keep Up The Good Work & keep the laughter coming!!

Oh, my husband and I love your channel! We were so excited when you moved to Colorado! We are about two hours from you (if there is little traffic) We also have 5 little kiddos. Your family is so sweet and keeps us laughing!

I’d imagine a tattoo artist could come up with a creative way to make your current tattoo something that better reflects who you are now without committing to an entire sleeve. Removal is always an option, but it could be fun to add or alter it to align more with Dude Dad Taylor. Let it grow with you rather than cover or remove

Keep the tattoo. Crown of thorns and cross has a meaning that you chose and is honorable. If someone asks about it being a barbed wire, you have an opportunity to share with them what it is and what it means to you. Glad to see how God is continuing to bless you and your family. Keep up the great work.

I was another who was surprised to learn the tattoo is supposed to be thorns and not barbed wire. A consultation with a tattoo artist to see what can be done with the existing would be my recommendation. Since you brought up family planning, what influences your family planning decisions and why. I know you'll receive several viewpoints, but I think it would be interesting to learn how you two reached a decision and why.

We call our last little guy our "grande finale" too. When you know its the last one, I assure you that you will savor it. It's so bittersweet but so awesome too! Wishing your family all the best things always. I've enjoyed watching your journey. If we lived closer I would love that mommy hang! Heidi, see if there's a local MOMS Club chapter near you. They do just that. It saved me when I had my first.

I love-love-love your transparency and sincerity, Heidi and Taylor - and your tips and humor! Being single, childless and tat-less, I guess I'll take Heidi's tip of taking care of yourself. Stay safe and have a super year! 💙💛💖
