I'm still surprised that Zane might be over 50 or more, but it makes sense with the timeline of his father and before meeting the other ninja

In hunted, the ninja state that they are still teenagers, just old teenagers meaning they are probably about 17 in hunted, 19 at the most.
Additionally, in Seabound, Misako says that Kai is grown man now, suggesting he is 18, 20 at the most in seabound

Kai is two years older than Nya. I read somewhere that Nya was 13 at the time of the pilot season and Kai was 15.

Putting this here, Lloyd states in Dragons Rising he took years of training under Wu to learn Spinjitzu, so as weird as that is, it means that between Lloyd being discovered to be the Green Ninja to Pirates vs Ninjas there were at least 2 years we skimmed over even tho he had no physical change

Regardless of what you guys all think, I hope that we can agree that all of the ninjas are adults now, no longer teens. And for my personal estimates, I agree that the original four are in their late twenties, early thirties even, while Lloyd both chronically and physically is in his mid-twenties.

I think it has been something like 2-3 years since the Merge because before the Merge, I think Arin and Sora both seemed like pre-teens based on Arin's voice and Sora's skills

I honestly wished ninjago creators would just tells us the ninjas age instead of leaving it up to viewer interpretation, but believe they’re all legal adults now.

So basically after dating for 11 years and being engaged for 8 years Nya and Jay should really already be married, though I’m sure it’s hard to plan a wedding when you have to save the world all the time.

Kai stated during Hunted that at least he and Jay are still teenagers and during Seabound Misako stated that Kai is a grown-up man, which means that at least Kai and Jay aged the 18 in some time between those seasons, not before

Even though he was physically and mentally aged up, I still think of Lloyd as being significantly younger than the others just because I go by how many years he’s actually lived

As a fanfiction writer, this really helps a lot into understanding the characters I’m writing. Even if you’re not a fanfiction writer, videos like these give more depth into why a character acts the way they do, based on their ages. Even though my headcanon doesn’t line up completely with Tanner’s, the Era system helped me understand the Ninjago timeline and gave me some new insights on the characters. My main problem is that in season 9 it is specifically stated that Jay and Kai are still teenagers, just of the adult variety, I base my entire predictions off of that fact.

This is awesome! I have my own whole timeline worked out, and I mostly agree
But I'm pretty sure it's said that Nya is 2 years younger that Kai, I think they were 3 and 5 when their parents left.
I also put the ninja around 14-16 when they start, because they're still referred to as teenagers for way too long if they were any older at the start.
I think ninjago's society is quite different, Nelson seems to be starting a job (albeit part time) younger than we would and they all get jobs in season 2

I feel like post merge would be complicated ( and I guess wrong in the video ), Nya says she woke up post merge and found Kai helping the people from the Madness Realm, meaning Kai has already spent a while post merge.
Therefore it would be safe to assume the merge not just made people go to different locations, but also different moments in time, same goes for Kai waking up when Lloyd had been at the Monastery for a while.

Obviously some seasons take place very close to others in the timeline so I put that into account for my personal Ninjago timeline, which is:

The pilots to S2 is yr 1 of the entire series, where the ninja are the following ages:

Jay: 16 yrs
Kai: 16 yrs
Cole: 16-17 yrs
Zane: 16 yrs (chronologically older ofc)
Nya: 14 yrs
Lloyd: 12 yrs
Wu & Garmadon: 1000+ yrs
Harumi: 12 yrs

Then S3 to S7 is yr 2, where the ninja were the following (Edit: tbh, S3 & 4 could be a few months apart):

Jay: 17 yrs
Kai: 17 yrs
Cole: 17-18 yrs
Zane: 17 yrs
Nya: 15 yrs
Lloyd: 13 yrs
Skylor: 18 yrs
Pixal: 15 yrs (chronologically younger ofc)
Nelson: 12 yrs
Morro: 20s-30s chronologically, but abt 16-18 yrs physically

S8 to S11 is yr 3 (the ninja need time to get flabby, lol. S11 can easily be a few months after S10), where the ninja were:

Jay: 18 yrs
Kai: 18 yrs
Cole: 18-19
Zane: 18 yrs
Nya: 16 yrs
Lloyd: 14 yrs
Harumi: 14 yrs

the Elemental Masters, apart from Camille & Griffin Turner are in their 30s-40s, Griffin & Camille are somewhere in their later 20s
Ronin: 30s
Dareth: 30s
Lou: 40s-60s
Ed & Edna: 50s-60s
Ray & Maya: 50s-60s
Misako: 50s-60s
Cyrus Borg: 40s-50s

& abt the Tomorrow's Tea that affected Lloyd, I think once he was physically aged up, his physical age slowed down, while he was continuing to age mentally normally, & by a certain point, his mental age & physical age caught up with each other. & I think he was 12 yrs old mentally but abt 14-15 yrs old physically once he was affected by the tea, so by the time of yr 4 (S12-S15, before S16) both his ages caught up.

Edit: Basically, Ninjago is split up into 8 yrs including Dragons Rising. The 4 Ninja are no older than 25 yrs, Nya & Pix are no older than 23 yrs, & Lloyd & Harumi are no older than 21. Ofc this is my own opinion, but I just can't see how the ninja would be in their late 20s to early 30s.

I think Kai is at least two years older than Nya, because he held her when she was a baby. And Zane I believe was built during the Serpentine War? Since nobody but Jay and Cole probably had legitimate schooling and there are plenty of farms still around all of Ninjago, I'm thinking that Ninjago's definition of "legal adult" is around 16-18, I go by this because there are probably a lot of kids who went to high school only to go back to working with their families, some maybe getting internships while still in high school. So if Ray and Maya had not been taken then Kai and Nya would have probably been home schooled and also helping work the Blacksmith shop and maybe when Kai was 15 or 16 Ray would let him, and even Nya, fully run it because they would both be responsible and know how to manage the store. Without then Kai and Nya definitely learned things from the other villagers but because they seemingly had no family, and Wu apparently didn't want another Morro incident with "adopting" that is why Kai and Nya, two very clear teenagers, ran their shop. But that's just me trying to wonder why these teenagers never mentioned school all that much. Good timeline age video Tanner, definitely see them younger than what you have here but I get where you're coming from.
