Curious what factors in particular make an engine run better at different afr's.

Trying To Figure Out What AFRs To Run On My Vehicle. Surprisingly If I Run Richer Then 13.4 Around 2500RPM At 8-9PSI Of Boost It Knocks Very Bad (As High As 5.5Degs) And The Timing Is Already 2-3 Degrees At That Spot (very dead). But If I Lean It Out To 14.7 The Knock Goes Completely Away. If I Lean It Anymore It Starts Lean Missing But It Still Doesn't Knock. Trying To See To What Extent That Carries On Higher Up In RPM. I Target 11.5 Between 3700RPM Up To Redline (5700RPM) At 9-11PSI Of Boost But I'm Wondering If I'd Be Further Away From Knock If I Pulled Some Fuel Around The 3700RPM Area And Ran Like 13:1 And Progressively Dropped Down To 11.5 Up To 5700. I Was Amazed How Bad It Knocked By Going Richer In The Lower RPM High Load Areas. I Had Planned To Go Richer In That Area Thinking The Engine Would Be Safer Than Running 14.7 AFR At 8-9PSI Of Boost lol. The Opposite Was True XD

I have a stock 2017 gli it's stated as running 210 hp from factory I did a dyno pull to see how much am getting to the wheels. It's making 206 whp on hot day 84°F I was told that my AFR is at 13.6 and that's it's a bit rich should I be concerned?
