Asparagus racemosus or commonly known as satavar, shatavari, shatamull, shatawari, is a species of asparagus native from africa through southern asia. It's growing upto 2 meter tall and roots are both fibrous and tuberous. shatavari is used in indian traditional medicine. In this video I'm going to show you - how to propagate asparagus racemosus, satavar or shatavari plant using the division method. This method doesn't work for every plants, for this plant it's perfect. Asparagus racemosus best growing season is spring, so this is the best time for propagation.

Asparagus racemosus, satavar or shatavari plant propagation step:
1. First of all take out asparagus racemosus or satavar from the pot.
2. Gently cut the plant straight down with knife. It is a very simple and fastest method.
3. Making potting mix for asparagus racemosus, the ratio of the potting mix is 60% garden soil, 20% fine sand, 20% vermicompost, and mix it well.
4. Take two well-drain pots and cover the drainage holes with some coconut husk. Fill it with potting mix.
5. Plant asparagus racemosus or satavar into the potting mix.
6. Finally water it properly and keep it partial sunlight place.
